Customer Surveys/Recommendations
Written recommendations are located at the beginning of this page, surveys follow the recommendations.
The following links will take you to surveys which have been completed by customers who have purchased either a puppy or a started dog from Antelope Creek Kennels. We hope to get more in the future and will post them as they arrive.
It is our intention to use these surveys/recomendations to inform and educate us and our future customers. We believe we can improve our breeding program and our customer service by listening to our past customers. We are showing you the surveys as they were completed in their entirety (with the exception of the owners personal information).
You will see any bad comments along with the good. We believe that dogs, like people, are not perfect, but we are trying!

Hi Jean: You emailed me at one time wondering how I was getting along with Missy. She is a great young dog, just what I was looking for. I was visiting kennels from Colo., Iowa, and Wisc.. While I was visiting with you the indication was you wanted to match dog and master. I told you what I was looking for and you said you had one that you thought would suit me. I was also questioned on how I took care of my dogs. I was quite surprised you were concerned so much about the dogs well being. Missy came as advertised, very birdie with a tremendous amount of energy. You seemed concerned as to weather or not she would get hunted enough. Thinking she would retrieve with some encouragement, I took her home on trial. The 3rd time out she started ret! rieving and is a very fast and aggressive at it now. She has probably brought in 80 to 100 birds, is soft mouthed, and I just love to hunt her. I would recommend you and your dogs to anyone. Thanks again for a great young dog as well as your honesty and integrity. Please feel free to use this letter if you like. My phone number you have and I would be glad to talk to anyone on your behalf. Respectfully, Larry S.

Hi Jean, Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know we are still around. My 4 year old daughter was asking me about Kota when he was a pup and so I pulled out his folder with the pic's that you sent me and she thought that was pretty neat. She was asking me a lot of questions about his brothers and sisters and is now carrying around his folder and showing the pic's to the rest of the family.
I hope everything is going well for you, we are all doing just fine down here. Kota is doing great and is an ace in the field. If you don't mind I am going to do some bragging on him a little bit. We were out this past weekend and had made one pass through a large field and were about to make another when he got "birdy". It was me and one other guy and his dog. Kota began tracking this running bird that was heading northeast with the wind blowing from the Northwest. After some time of tracking this bird Kota breaks off the trail and bolts at a slightly different angle than the bird was traveling. He was going full speed to get in front and then would suddenly freeze and lock on again. He did it a second time and then finally stopped the bird. I had never seen Kota anticipate what the bird was trying to do and then intercept the bird like that! You hear about seasoned dogs doing that but I had not seen him do it until last weekend.
After that we were walking down a grassy lane not really hunting and Kota got that low long gait to his trot and I told the guy I was with to pay attention and about 30 yards later Kota popped off the trail and about 10 yards in to the tall grass locked in on a rooster. After the shot and seeing what Kota had done on the last two birds my friend looked at me and said "man your dog has gotten good".
He has matured a lot around the home and doesn't really chew or tear up things and in the field I can't imagine a better dog. Another friend and I took his young inexperienced dog out a few times to a hunting preserve before season to let Kota train his dog. He called me after opening day and said they shot eight birds and his dog retrieved six. The neat thing about that is that his dog had never been hunted before we started working her with Kota. Also, they were with some very seasoned dogs that go out multiple times a week so to do that is a big deal. Kota's aggressiveness in hunting and retrieving rubbed off on this young dog.
We are planning on going out on Friday and again on Sunday, It's amazing to watch him, I know that you would be proud of him if you could see him work. Anytime that we go out with other people and their dogs he out shines all of them. People always are very complimentary on his performance in the field. It's hard not to brag about him but I guess it's OK because it's the truth.
If I remember I'll try to take some pic's of him this season and e-mail them to you. He's right at 60 pounds and filled out nicely.
