Antelope Creek Apache Tear

aka "Patch"

Patch is a female German Wirehaired Pointer, whelped on 7-16-2003 at the Heart River Kennels in Dickinson, ND.  Her sire is Heart River V Rahnhaus (Tojo - 2003 NSTRA Midnorth Region Runner-up and 2004 2nd Runner-up) and dam is Heart River Chelsea (Ellie).

Patch has very feminine features with a "pretty face".  She stands 23" high at the shoulders and weighs 49 pounds.  She has inherited her father's physical stature and her mother's good nature.  She has long legs and a lean body.  Ron likes to call her "our ever-ready bunny" as she hunts at a steady gait and keeps on going all day long.

Patch is incredibly good natured. She gets along with every dog we have ever had her around. Although she can be a little shy around human strangers, when she warms up to someone, they have a friend forever.

Patch has an average range, but will range out as the cover opens up. She has a nice quartering pattern and checks in on a regular basis while hunting. Her hunting specialty is fence lines. She loves to swing out and work back towards the hunter, traping the bird in between.

Patch has a very stylish, intense point with a high tail and head. She is very cautious over birds. She is steady on point and will hold forever. Patch loves to work the wind and will work a scent from a long way off. She is a natural backer.
